Hello, my name is Geoff. I saw a Boerboel about four years ago and had to have one. I'm hoping to get one this summer. I found a breeder Kwanza Boerboel in South Africa. Has anyone bought a Boerboel from Kwanza Boerboels? Any suggestions would be great.
Hello everybody!
My name is Olga and we live together with my boyfriend in Vantaa, Finland. At the moment we have 5 pets, 3 dogs: 2 pitbull females Indi and Lara (shown in my profile picture), Finnish hound/Americanstaffordshireterriermix Sirius and 2 cats. I have been trying to gather information about this wonderful breed for about 7 years now, and soon we hopefully be Boerboel owners ourselves! Looking forward to talk with you guys!

I have a one year old female named Suki. She is the love of my life!! (Don't tell my 5 kids or my husband, but I think they suspect as much.) We live on a 14 acre farm in the Catskills NY, and have about 3 acres fenced in for the dogs. Suki has really really poor eyesight - I suspect she has macular degeneration, but I don't have a formal diagnosis. About a month ago I adopted a shelter dog (Kivi - a male "heintz 57") to be her seeing eye dog. The two are inseparable. We have chickens on site and really want to get some Nubian goats, but money is really tight right now. Any comments on the poor eyesight thing are very welcome!!
Here is a link to our farm - lots of pics of the dogs :)
Thanks;
Les
Oh! Forgot to add - I spent two years in grad school getting a degree in Animal Behavior - Applied Behavior Analysis for Canines. Kind of a really over-educated shrink for criminally insane dogs. My favorite part was the time I spent in a bite suit getting thrown into the ring with riled up dogs. Couldn't make a living at it in my area - folks just don't have the cash to spend. Let's just say...rural. Very rural up here!
Welcome all! It's so great to have you all here sharing with us. Look forward to meeting everyone, and their dogs. I hope you enjoy the site.

Hi, my name is Julie and I've just got a boerboel puppy together with my partner Steve. He's from Claymore boerboel in London.
Marvel is 11 weeks now, we've had him a week due to being on holiday when he was ready to be picked up. He's starting to learn to listen indoors, and we are working on socializing and meeting people and dogs outdoors. Right now he's on his back in front of the telly, sleeping!
Previously I've had an Irish Wolfhound and an Aussie, so this is completely different. Happy to find a site for boerboel owners :-)
Welcome Julie and congrats on your BB. pup LOL he's gonna keep you busy. Enjoy the site Lots of good people here. any questions just ask. and we love pics as well. LOL Peace Lee.
Hello. My name is Barry Schimmens. I live in Petawawa Ontario Canada. I have made many safari trips to South Africa and have seen many Boerboels and loved them all. I just could not get rid of the idea that I must have one. I couldn't stay in S/A so I will now have a piece of the heart of what S/A really is. Very beautiful country and I love the people. I am to pick my little Challenger up on the 28th of this month and I am like a kid at Christmas. I really enjoy this site and have learnt a lot of valuable information to help me turn my dog into a work of art. I look forward to talking to you all and getting to know you. Feels like I have joined a new family. Hope to talk soon and I will post pics soon as I can
Thank you! I look forward to coming here often. We adopted Leo from a relative who could not take care of him any longer. When we first got him, we didn't even know there was a breed called Boerboel. Now, we can't imagine not getting another one when we can. My husband and I are both in love with this dog. I want to be the best Boerboel-mommy I can be.
