Home Of The Rare Breed.
As an expat living at a remote beach side plot in Takoradi, Ghana, I purchased an 8 week old male Boerboel pup just over 6 months ago. The pup grew up living outside and wandering around a large piece of land, friends, kids and other dogs were introduced slowly although other dogs are not that welcomed.
i spend most the day working from home on my patio and therefore have an almost human relationship going on; this breed of dog when not spending time being trained and playing, will lay within 1m of where I am, without fail which proves their dedication, if I move, he moves which I find incredible. Probably the coolest dog breed around.
Due to my location, canine luxuries are rare, in fact if left to basics, I feel my pup benefits, or certainly not deprived, he’ll almost sleep if you hang him up!! I treat him with a cows leg every now and then, manage to get high grade nuts for his basic food and you can tell if a dog is happy or not, easy. Very rarely entering the house as such, his place is the plot and has no problems with that.
Two weeks ago I purchased another one......female, 10 weeks old and after a rowdy couple days, am now blessed with two fantastic animals, great company, incredible devotion, very amusing playing sessions, they both sleep like hell and I can only do my best to reflect the absolute pleasure, and pride of other Boerboal owners
