Welcome James, Your a lucky guy their are several breeders in your area. I commend you for wanting to do therpy work, with a BB your going to have your hands full training them to be calm, also going to need softer, more relaxed pup. Good luck and welcome again. Peace.
Hello, and welcome everyone, I hope you enjoy the site! For those new owners or soon to be boerboel owners, be sure to check out our New Boerboel Owners group. If theres anything I can be of help with, please let me know.
Thanks for the warm welcome Marco. I'm not currently a boerboel owner but is looking for a pup. I've been checking most of the breeder sites and have spoken to a few people so maybe, very soon I may be a proud dad of 3 instead of 2.
Hello everyone, my name is Delia and I have grown up with Boerboels since the day I was born!
I currently own four Boerboels: Bellbusk Xander (10 years), Corga Ayliff (8 years), Giants of Africa Keanu (9 months) and the newest addition to our family, Giants of Africa Jade who is 8 weeks old.
All four of them have the best temperaments and I love them more every single day!
What an endearing story....so sorry for your loss :(
Roland, just do your homework and I mean it may take you a year or more to find what you are looking for in a Boerboel. There are many unscrupulous breeders out there just trying to make a buck. They will promise you the world. Joining this group is a huge plus. Ask questions and read read read! Good luck!

My Axel has a tail. David Harris docks some and leaves some intact tails if you are interested in a working Boerboel with a great temperament and health. He breeds on the smaller side for agility and healthy joints. I know Dichotomy Boerboels also does not dock tails but they breed protection work dogs with a lot of drive. My boy has a medium drive.

Hi Lisa! Most definitely. I've been doing some research for the past few months and will be for another six months. Just need to find out who will work with me on getting a pup with a tail. Thanks for the tip.

A bored boerboel is a bad boerboel-INDEED!!!!
Blake, why would you want a cross breed instead of a full bred Boerboel. It really isn't wise imo and the Boerboel world really frowns upon it. I took a look at the web site and it seems that this guy will cross just about anything, why? I don't get it. Just my opinion.
