I agree with all of you on this one, I just didn't know what to make of such a video...it was pretty shocking for me when I first watched it. I think that this dog is clearly unstable and unsure of it's capabilities. It was also a very dangerous situation for both dogs involved and the owner is clearly an idiot for allowing this. I assume he knew the BB would not hurt the Mal prior to attempting this stunt. Also, like Marcella stated...I would not want this dog to be my first line of defense in a situation like this. I just posted this because I was unsure of how common this sort of behavior was in BB's. I am still very new to this breed and have only been around 4 BB's as of now. I know that not all dogs are equal but, I had assumed prior to purchasing one that for the most part that, the majority of BB's would not react in a similar manor. That is more or less my question concerning this particular clip...

Okay let me just say first and foremost that I do not agree with how this test is being done!  However, I do hope that the owner realizes just what a sad example of a boerboel mentally he has on the end of his leash there!  The dog is not at all understanding the game,  also she is showing clear signs of insecurity right from the beginning with being fearfully reactive and having no rebound whatsoever.. if the leash was not on the dog/owner.. I would bet that she would have been out of there and not made to endure the entire thing.. there is no serious level of threat in the dog's mind... so...she either does not understand what she is supposed to do.. or see's it as a game... either way.. not a dog I would want on my arm in a dark alley.. JMO

I think it looks like some bullshit, aholes wanting to see a dog go after another dog. Sucks if you ask me. There are plenty of other ways to see if your dog has drive and will protect. Also BB just looked scared and confused. Prob evidence the owner is a dick

well i dont think he protected him at all, notice the tail on the boerboel, it was down almost tucked, obviously the dog was scared or unsure how to react.
