Much more work with boels in the city

As I was saying earlier, to live within an urban area is much more of a task with 4 boerboels than living out in the country. There are a few reasons that immediately come to mind; first their protectiveness is heightened due to the fact that we have just come from 8 years of living in a VERY rural area and never seeing anyone except when out in town.. now even the garbage men come on their property and are trying to take things that belong to their family! Acclimating The Boerboel from Country to City!

Well, here is another first for us ...
In the last month now we have almost finished moving into our new house in the city with 4 of our boels.. and what an interesting time this has been!
I honestly did not know what to actually expect in regards to the dogs acclimating to the new surroundings as they have all ( with the exception of Clover ) grown up in a very rural area in Northern Ontario.
Now we are all moved to Southern Ontario to very much an urban area and we are…

Our 12 week old Boerboel wants to drink water - she has had a urinary infection that we have been treating.. but this is crazy... she searches for mud puddles, rain, condensation... drinks until she is miserable and burping then lays around and pees... potty training is near impossible as she is more interested in water than life... ANY IDEAS? See More
