Hi all
Im new to top boerboel, but happy im part of it. i am a first time owner and im totally inlove with my 5mnth old male boerboel which weighs about 26-28kg..i am currently feeding him royal canin which he loves his coat is exceptional he doesnt reali have puppy breath his teeth are wonderfull but his stools are still very big...ive been doing extensive reseach on changing his diet to a raw one...im part of another boerboel forum and read everything i could on raw diets and on the internet...so ive tried in the last 2 days just feeding him raw and the things that changed is his stools are smaller and he has alil more energy(tho he has a high energy drive)..but now reading the discussions on this site im totally confused about which way to go with the raw feeing...How much do i feed him? is the raw food the same density as the kibble? if i feed raw do i need to add oils veg fruit supplements? if i feed 1kg of kibble a day du i feed 1kg of raw a day? ive spoken to too people here where i live that supplys raw diets to pet shops but they are frozen raw diets, ive just read now that i shouldnt feed raw if its frozen...i currently reside in the western cape and our meat products are extremly expensive, so i would love some help in helping my boerboel coz all i want for him is the best!!! can someone please help me?

Hello Rory, it can be a little confusing when starting to feed raw. A lot of us have been where you are now, when making the switch. Im going to post some very helpful videos, and links that will explain things much better than I can. Please take the time to watch, and read. This information will help clear up things, and get you going in the right direction.
