Home Of The Rare Breed.
Hello, I have 6 month old brindle girl. She is about 90lbs know. Around 4 month of age her bilateral elbows became inflamed, still are, I learned that Boerboels develops slowly in bones and organs, when they grow very fast, I don't want her to end up with the surgery, I'm doing everything possible, good supplement, less activity but it's not getting better. Also she is itching all the time, breeder says that it's normal for 1st year, because she is in different environment not where she was born. I do not understand, she spent 2 month in Texas where she was born and now 4 month in PA where she lives with us. Can anybody help me with my problems?

Thanks Maria. My girl didn't show any aggression problems until she reached sexual maturity at around 11 months. Just be careful and firm with your dog. Make sure you train her well. I just put a review of the breeder on YELP.COM. I don't know if anything can be done except to warn others about them. It's really a shame. Whatever you need me to do I'll be happy to do it. You can even use my name, I don't care. If I were you, I would switch your dog to a RAW diet. Sometimes the allergies are related to the food you are feeding. They probably told you to feed Biljac adult dog food too, right? That food is a crappy one. I checked the reviews on it. I have had my new dog on RAW food now for 6 weeks and he just turned 10 months old. It is much healthier and usually no allergies, scratching etc. There are a lot of web sites with lots of helpful info on them about it.

Thanks Tish. I appreciate your kind words. It was the worst thing and it happened during the holidays. I'll never completely get over it. I have a shelf with a candle and all her memorabilia set up in my family room so she is with us always. That is quite interesting that it was the same breeder. Bella was born on June 13 or 16, 2009. The reason I'm not sure of the date is because the breeder said the 16th that the mom was whelping on the web site and then when I got her birth certificate when she came home it said the 13th so who knows the true date. The breeder screwed it up. Anyway, I have heard many complaints unfortunately. Let me know the details when you find out.
Thanks again,
~Lisa
Hello, I am responding to the probelms Lisa had with her Boerboel. We had good communication the whole time and I was quite happy to work with her. We were quite saddened by the news of Bella's passing as well and replied in the email below. This was the last correspondence we ever had with Lisa below, and never received any further correspondence. I offered to replace her as you can see in the email below. We stand by our dogs and try to rectify situation as best we can.
Kind Regards, Richard www.olympusboerboel.com

Richard,
I am totally flabbergasted at this fabricated email that you DID NOT SEND me. Yes, I remember the email very vividly and this is what it said:

You have fabricated the rest of that email and I am very disturbed right now at this outright LIE! You never offered me another pup and I never asked you for another puppy. I never even expected you to and honestly I would not ever get another puppy from you because of the dishonesty that you represent on your web site and now in this fabricated email. I think this is an attempt to do some damage control now that wiser buyers, including myself, have written some reviews on YELP. You can say what you want, but that doesn't change the bad health and temperament that my poor beloved Bella had and suffered with for her very short life. I only have myself to blame as I did not meet you or travel to your home to see with my own eyes, as I should have, your set up with the dogs and the parents. I chose to buy sight unseen and believe the nonsense I was fed by you and Michelle about how your dogs live in the house with you and are hand raised by Michelle. I am the idiot and I have learned my lesson the hard way. If you want to help me and satisfy me then why don't you split Bella's medical bills with me. I am still paying the $10,000 bill from her last month on this earth when she spent 2 weeks in the I.C.U. getting blood transfusions to hopefully save her life. And Richard, if this had been her only problem then maybe I would consider another pup from you but it wasn't. She was afraid of her own shadow which turned into a fear aggressive dog who attacked random people in my home, even my son. So, don't try to cover up the truth with lies. This dog was riddled with health and temperament problems and you continue to breed Rhea and Mars despite all of the problems that her offspring had AND you kept Bella's sister Venus and bred her before she was even a year old! Breeding Boerboels for type and not health and temperament is very irresponsible and dangerous. Luckily she never hurt anybody except my son and me when I jumped in between her and my girl friend that she tried to attack. She also couldn't walk down the block without collapsing. She was a huge liability. And, I trained her and socialized her daily. Like I said, I am very fortunate that she didn't hurt someone because I took precautions and was a very responsible owner. When you're ready you can send my refund through Paypal, the way you were payed $1600 and another $500 for the flight! Yeah, right!

It is with a broken and very heavy heart that I write you tonight. Bella has succumbed to the terrible disease she had IMHA. After several weeks of blood transfusions and medications and losing 20 pounds we decided to end her misery when her blood count plummeted to 10% yesterday morning. We were there with her until her last breath. I want you to know that we loved her with all of our hearts and we will never be the same losing her in such a way. She was way too young and beautiful to be taken from us. We are devastated.

After my initial shock at Richard Jones outright lie, I went through my old emails and found the REAL one, not the fabricated one that he says he sent me. It is copied and pasted above along with my email to him informing him of Bella's death. This should be a sign to anyone who is thinking of dealing with this breeder that they should reconsider since honesty is not their policy!

Yes thats right, I am a dishonest breeder. I tried to scam you and give you a unhealthy boerboel. Geesh! I did not alter any email. I sent what I sent. We offered you a replacement and I still do. Take it as you want to. Say what you want. It was offered and still is. I am happy to do this. I never had any problem dealing with you and still do not. You obviously feel differently.
I apologize about getting off track on Maria's thread. I have happily offered her a replacement puppy sveral times as well too, and she has indicated she does not want one. I dont expect her to send her pup back, but I simply offered to send her another.
Our pups do live in our home as we state. We do hand raise them. Anyone of our buyers can come out and view us anytime. We actually encourage and prefer people to do so. We have always done this and it has never been different. If anyone questions that, please feel free to view all the many many positive testimonials we have on the website.
Regards and apologies for this being off the subject matter.
Richard
