Do Boerbels need coats for the winter since their hair is so short? If so can anyone recommend?

Also, could not find diapers big enough when my dog went into heat-any suggestions?

What I did for my female in heat was buy Pull Ups for her. I couldn't find diapers in her size, but the had some kind of night time Pull Ups for big girls over 100lbs. I just cut an X to pop her tail through and it worked well especially since you could just toss them at the end of the day. I did have to put dog underpants over it so she wouldn't bite them off.  The reason the dog underpants didn't work was because the hole for the tail was huge and was positioned in exactly the wrong spot. They were quite messy too. So they did serve the purpose of keeping the Pull Ups on.

I don't know where you're located, but I'm up here in CT. It's been in the teens and 20s lately and I don't put coats on my dogs. Yesterday we were on a hike through the snowy woods and they were hot. Several times I had to chase them out of the creed that wasn't frozen. Just watch her--if she seems cold, there's nothing wrong with a coat. I do find that mine tolerate the cold much better than heat.

We had to buy human diapers and cut a hole for the tail....she pulled them off though.  We did see washable ones online made for big dogs that had a strap that went around the neck to keep it on.....sorry I can't remember website but you will find it easily with a google search.  Maybe a link could be added to the BB Shop?

My boy has a coat for when it reaches -20C but until it is that cold he doesnt have a coat. I have a shedrow (like a horse blanket) I also have boots for their feet for when it is super cold so he and my german shepherd dont get frostbite

"Hello Kim welcome and thanks for posting.  Sorry to hear you having trouble with your puppy.  First off have you taken her to the vet?  Do they know of the situation?  Have they taken a urine sample?  If your girl has a UTI…"

obsessive Water drinking

Our 12 week old Boerboel wants to drink water - she has had a urinary infection that we have been treating.. but this is crazy... she searches for mud puddles, rain, condensation... drinks until she is miserable and burping then lays around and pees... potty training is near impossible as she is more interested in water than life... ANY IDEAS? See More
