Hi again! Our BB is 2 1/2 years old. We've never had her "trained" professionally, but she's the BEST dog and listens really well. We've taken her down to the dog park on Town Lake and she loves all the other dogs. We dont have papers for her or anything.. got her from a litter of my brothers pups in California. (They never wanted to pay to get the papers for their dog.) Either way, it doesnt matter to us. We arent really "into" all that. We just love her because she our pet!

I'm Julie and I live in Austin with my two boele. Just for the sake of clarity, Sebastian was the third BB in the world, which is also happened to be the third in the US, to earn his BH degree.  Hopefully my girl Ta will be the earning hers soon to go along with her other titles.

 

If anyone has training questions, feel free to ask! I am always delighted to help where I can.

Hi Heather!  Welcome to this site and also to our group.  We are fortunate that we have a really good trainer that specializes in bb's here in Austin. Her name is Julie.  She has 2 bb's herself and both are titled.  Her male was the first bb in the US to get a BH. 

 

Training is really important for this breed and should be started as early as possible.  Let me know if you need her contact.

 

We should do get together soon while all our dogs are still pups,  :)  They'll have a blast!

I'm glad I stumbled upon the Texas group... My name is Heather, I live in Belton, but from Manor (right outside of Austin).  I have a 5 month old BB, her name is Sugar Cane, Cane for short.  We currently have her in Sit Means Sit, for training, I hope to get her CGC certificate and I also want to get her certified as a therapy dog.  I'm a special ed teacher and she would be a great asset to the class.  She is quite a hyper puppy, so it will still take quite a bit of time till she is ready for that.
