Boerboel Photo Challenge 3 - Water
Its the time of the year where it is heating up for a lot of us. Boerboel Challenge 3 will be to get a shot of your boerboel in the water. For some this challenge may be an easy one, for others it might be a tough one. Swimming is not only a great exercise for us but also for our boerboels. I encourage all dog owners to introduce your dog to water young or old. Sometimes it can be a slow process but in the end you both can enjoy it. Its also a great way for them to cool off this summer, and for you to have some fun in the process. The photo can be of them in a pool, lake, river, ocean, pond or puddle. Just as long as they are in the water. Please no older photos, lets make some new ones! For those that find this challenge to be easy, please go ahead and post your photos anyway. We would love to see them, plus it can be encouragement to others here to take the dive. If you need any advice on how to introduce your dog to water, please ask. Remember all challenges can be done at anytime so if its not warm enough yet, no worries. As always play it safe, and have fun!

This is Cane after our walk!
This is Gus after he was introduced to water or should I say mud for the first time. The two dogs took full advantage of the little amount of water available to them in the rut alongside the sidewalk.
This is Kierra cooling down after a long walk around Tempe Town Lake (Arizona State University and Football Stadium in the background). This was her favorite part about that walk! If it were up to her she would still be there relaxing in the cool water right now!
The funniest part about that walk was a jogger that passed us and immediately spun around and jogged backwards to look at Kierra. "Is the a Boerboel?" Shouted the jogger (while reverse jogging) never missing a beat. It was too funny. He has been the only person I have meet on a walk to call out her breed first try.
JonP thats great photo man, and thanks for giving some information about the area. Pretty cool about the jogger, its rare that anyone knows the breed here also. I think I have only had one or two know.
