Signing up for an Appraisal

• Please make sure you take care of signing up for membership in advance as you will not be allowed at the venue unless you are a member already.  Please follow the instructions on the SABT Membership application form to sign up for membership.
• Dogs to be appraised should also be signed up.  Please click on the SABT Boerboel appraisal signup form.

The pre-registration fee for an appraisal is $125 per dog.  Any Boerboels registered after the pre-registration date will be charged $150 per dog.

When you attend an appraisal venue, you must present a birth certificate and/or the original registration certificate for the dog being appraised.  The birth or registration certificate must list the member as the owner.  If your documentation does not show you as the owner, please contact [e-mail] for further instructions.

Together with providing a birth or registration certificate to the event host, the owner also needs to turn in his or her SABT account statement.

I recently spoke with Shirley Hagler at SABT who informed me that they are in the process of setting up a appraisal in Tempe, Arizona for sometime in October/Early November of 2012. Just FYI. I don't know that anyone else on here lives in or near Arizona. Just thought I would pass this info along regardless.

Dear Members:

Updated information for the Fall Appraisal Tour. 
The
fee per dog is $125 to October 1.  After this date, the fee increases
to $150 per dog. Should we not receive the required number of dogs for a
venue,
then the venue will be cancelled.  I'll let you know if this happens.
So
don't wait to pre-register and pay.

They are having an appraisal in Redmond, WA on October 20th.  Maryland was done in May, so they decided to go with VA this time around.

I don't think I understand the payment process though...are you saying that as long as I pay before Oct. 1st it will be $125? But if I plan to pay on the day of the event it will be $150? Do you have any idea how many dogs are currently registered for the Tempe appraisal? 

Also, If I may a payment for $125 what all does that cover? If the event gets canceled after I make the payment, how do the refunds get handled? Is there any chance of a breeders course happening in Tempe?

You're welcome guys!!  Jon, there was a breeders course in Canada in May...I think what you don't understand is the time and effort involved in scheduling these events, they are planned months in advance, and there has to be enough people/dogs in order to even have it...

 

Jon, if the unlikely scenario that an event should be cancelled, you will receive a refund...I suggest you look at the website www.sabt-usa.org and/or contact Shirley Hagler, the US Rep (her phone number and email is listed on the website) if you have any further questions....I've known Shirley for awhile now, and she is an excellent Rep, and is more than willing to answer any questions you may have...
