Home Of The Rare Breed.
I realize this might be sticking both hands into a wasps nest.
What happened to patience when it comes to litters and breeding?
Why is a bitch "old" when she is 3 years - for having her SECOND litter? To me, a three year old bitch has just become a proper adult and she has still got enough time to have a litter (or two!).
Why are breeders having two litters on the same bitch so close to each other, not even having the chance to see ANY results from the previous puppies - both health tests and mentality?
A male dog can produce and become a daddy safely and with no health concerns for the first time when he is "older". Why is there a need to breed males that are not even two years old?
Isn't the purpose of breeding to keep improving the breed? Not just use young animals as quick as we can to spew out litters before the dog gets "too old" ?
