Recipe for home made Chicken jerky treats
Recipe:
- Slice chicken into thin strips, about 1/8-1/4 inches along the grain.
- Remove any excess fat.
- Place on non-stick or greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 180 degrees overnight or several hours during the day, turning the strips over several times.
- Cool, and serve
- Store in refrigerator due to no preservatives
- Can be refrigerated for up to 3 weeks or freeze to use later.

Heather, I'm not sure, but I think you could use a dehydrator, might not be as crunchy (brittle) though and you would have to adjust the time. Thanks for the feedback, let me know how it turns out. It would probably work with other protein sources, like Duck, turkey or even beef and buffalo as well.

Our 12 week old Boerboel wants to drink water - she has had a urinary infection that we have been treating.. but this is crazy... she searches for mud puddles, rain, condensation... drinks until she is miserable and burping then lays around and pees... potty training is near impossible as she is more interested in water than life... ANY IDEAS? See More
