Home Of The Rare Breed.
I have a 10 week old male pup that I just got back from the vet with. The vet seems concerned about his under bite and that the pup won't grow in properly enough to avoid intervention. Right now his lower k9 teeth rest in the roof of his mouth and she is saying that if this doesn't correct as he matures that we can either opt for surgery on his lower jaw or have his teeth lower k9's removed.
Has anyone ever heard of anything like this and is anyone aware of other options?

Jennifer keep a eye on it as he grows, I would not feed any bones at this point and it helps to set teeth in place. Deff. add Vitamin C and Nupro powder silver to try to help in bone growth. Any Raw should be ground so to keep teeth floating and hopefully Jaw line moving. I would check parents if severe in them then most likely so with him as well. If Vet is talking surgery it may be severe sorry to say. Doesn't mean he's not a good pup just means he may have problems eating and drinking. Keep him from biting and tugging as that helps set Jaw line in pup. Hopefully new teeth will come better in line. Good luck. Peace Lee.
