To much protein?

Is there a such thing as to much protein when feeding your dog?  This has been an ongoing debate for sometime.  I think with everything there needs to be a balance.  I also think it depends on the type of protein given.  High quality protein you find in feeding raw vs low quality you find in kibble.  What are your thoughts?  Please feel free to share what you know or have found on this subject.   As always I try to list a few articles to read on the topic.

We do not neccesarily disagree on so much Chrissy, although I do think that an opinion about one puppy does not quite carry much weight. I personally think that if you are satisfied that what you feed your dog is the best you can do for it, then you cannot really do more. I happen to think that mt dogs need a different approach. I am very much aware that the health of my dogs and to some degree the future health of the puppies I bring into the world are my responsibility. Therefore I do the best I can as well, you see the motivation is the same, we just happen to have different opinions about some things.

I will have to have a look at what it costs to produce a dog food like this in the USA before I can come with a price. It is not usual for the mills to produce dog food without corn products. Can you take 6 tons at a time?

What I feed my dog is the absolute best anybody can feed their dog, not "the best I can do for it".  My dog eats better than any human I know, including myself.  It is my responsibility to see that my dog, who I chose to have in this world - not his choice, eats what he is made to eat and is not poisoned by my ignorance nor by my laziness.

Chrissy, there is a difference between knowledge and belief, knowledge is always provable. If you can prove without refering to what you or others believe, then it is a fact that is not disputable. What we are talking about here is beliefs that are based on the facts as we know them, not something that is undisputable. We just believe different "facts".

possibly Shaun.  I'm sure there are lots of logistics involved.  How does the price of your food compare to other foods in your area?

It is a medium priced food. About the same as proplan.
