Skin Irritation

Hi All,

We have a 10mnth old Boerboel - His name is Blade - we are having a huge problem with his hair falling out - and no it's not the change of season - he is constantly getting ear infections which we treat regularly - the ear's get very red - also, along with these 2 issues we having the irritable scratching problem which has been treated with quaterzone and injections, which controls this up until all the meds have been used then it just flares back with a vengence....We bath him regularly and starting with dipping him as well from 7mnth of age

He is also microchipped  

We have him on Eukanuba Puppy feed which we have kept him on since we brought him home from the breeder

His weight is round 50kg's

We are getting irritable with high cost of the vet fees everytime and being told the same story only to be given meds that last and work for the period the antibiotics need to then once treatment is complete the problem comes back worse....it becomes very costly to keep repeating the same exercise without seeing end results

please could others advise us for some more of a permanent remedy/solution for these causes

I would try putting him on a raw diet of meat and bones. The diet is usually the problem. Commercial pet foods and those with grains are most times to blame unfortunately. I put my boy on raw at 8 1/2 months old and he's 16 months now and he has thrived. You should try it. Good luck!
