Thanks for the info Lee.

Lee is right..this is dangerous territory, but,to maintain the positive attributes of dogs we have bred them in a closely related.
grandfather x granddaughter
grandmother x grandson
father x daughter
mother x son
half brother x half sister
brother x sister ......not recommended...
many bad qualities than good..Actually, breeding ahalf brother and sister is considered Linebreeding, not inbreeding. It is still risky, but it is def. Linebreeding. It is the same as using a nephew and an Aunt, etc...
Hi all,
There is no such thing as line breeding! Line breeding is inbreeding and therefore exactly the same.
Line breeding is just made-up by animal breeders to achieve more similar looking animals. But what we really talking about here is inbred.
When 2 animals be matted to each other and they are related in any way we are talking about inbred it is simple as that!
Any good geneticist can tell you this.
Bobby said “inbreeding has been apart of dogs from the begining of time...”
That is correct but who make them do it?
But I think you should know that each form of inbred (in the long-term) will lead to:
This is proven by genetics all over the world.
In Africa lives a pack of lions in an old not active volcano that is sealed off from other packs.
And guess what? They are dying out……….. because of “strange diseases” and lack of genetic diversity….
I know it is hard to find Boerboels that are not related at all because of the low numbers they started with.
But really any breed is better off with low as possible inbred. At least lower 6,25%. And never over 12,5%, that's the dangerzone.
At least we can try it for this wonderfull breed, I think they are worth it don't you think?
Sorry for my pore Enlish.
Keep well,
John
