Hi All

We bought Trupanion health insurance as soon as we brought our puppy home. It is absolutely wonderful!

The cost is minimal if you get it when they are young and the price is fixed for the rest of their lives.

They have several options-we are reimbursed 90% of the vet bill (minus the office visit), no matter what the cost. The coverage is unlimited and there is no max per occurrence. The check comes in a few days.  I cannot say enough about this.

Here's a website that reviews pet insurance companies. Some are really terrible, while some receive very high scores. Definitely worth checking out before you decide to go with one company.

Anyone got suggestions for good pet insurance in Australia?? Seems most of the ones I can find exclude the common health problems that Boerboels have!

Sorry to awaken a sleeping post but does anyone know of insurance that covers international vet care.  I am in the military currently living in Japan and will move to Italy later this year.  I've contacted a few companies and am awaiting their response but figured someone here may already know.
