Hello, I have 6 month old brindle girl. She is about 90lbs know. Around 4 month of age her bilateral elbows became inflamed, still are, I learned that Boerboels develops slowly in bones and organs, when they grow very fast, I don't want her to end up with the surgery, I'm doing everything possible, good supplement, less activity but it's not getting better. Also she is itching all the time, breeder says that it's normal for 1st year, because she is in different environment not where she was born. I do not understand, she spent 2 month in Texas where she was born and now 4 month  in PA where she lives with us. Can anybody help me with my problems?

Richard,

I never said that you tried to scam me or give me an unhealthy Boerboel now did I? As you can see from my email to you I was never mean or trying to get a replacement pup from you. As far as lying, yes you are. That is NOT the email that you sent me and you know it!

When I was having the aggression issues with Bella and I contacted you many times about it, you finally admitted to me that you can't have your dogs in the house when you have company either, as if that is normal with this breed, which it is not. If you would like me to pull up all of those emails as well, I will. Since Bella's death I have talked with many people who have been out to your place where the dogs are kept in kennels and not in your home as you indicate. I cannot imagine keeping 23 dogs in your home. That is just ludicrous! I have also talked with some that also have health problems and found out that Chaos, Rhea's dad has HD.

I already have my new puppy that I paid for and I am very happy with him. He may not have Bella's good looks but he is healthy and a happy confident sound Boerboel. He walks 3 miles with me every day which is something Bella could never do as she had no stamina.

I wish you had just apologized for the heartbreak that me and my family endured and then made your kind gesture, but manipulating that email and claiming to have offered me a pup in January is just something I can't let go. If you are sincere, and really want to make good on your recent offer, then give me a refund instead of a puppy. Sell a puppy and give me the money. You have my Paypal account. I will gladly post that if it ever happens, but my feeling is, it will not.

Yes thats right, I am a dishonest breeder. I tried to scam you and give you a unhealthy boerboel. Geesh! I did not alter any email. I sent what I sent. We offered you a replacement and I still do. Take it as you want to. Say what you want. It was offered and still is. I am happy to do this. I never had any problem dealing with you and still do not. You obviously feel differently.

I apologize about getting off track on Maria's thread. I have happily offered her a replacement puppy sveral times as well too, and she has indicated she does not want one. I dont expect her to send her pup back, but I simply offered to send her another.

Our pups do live in our home as we state. We do hand raise them. Anyone of our buyers can come out and view us anytime. We actually encourage and prefer people to do so. We have always done this and it has never been different. If anyone questions that, please feel free to view all the many many positive testimonials we have on the website.

Regards and apologies for this being off the subject matter.

After my initial shock at Richard Jones outright lie, I went through my old emails and found the REAL one, not the fabricated one that he says he sent me. It is copied and pasted above along with my email to him informing him of Bella's death. This should be a sign to anyone who is thinking of dealing with this breeder that they should reconsider since honesty is not their policy!

I never said we cannot have our dogs in the house with company. I have some dogs that are more assertive than others. I also never said I keep all my Boerboels inside. To think that, is ludicrous as you put it. I do rotate all of our adults into the home and everyone gets their turn. We have six in right now. And all of our puppies always do stay in the house. That is what I said, and that is what I meant.

I also have all the emails but that doesnt mean much as I alter them? I dont know is it possible you may not have received one? Just a thought. Anyway, I have taken too much time on the board irrevelant to this discussion. So I will happily reply to you personally if you wish.

BTW, it really doesnt matter to this discussion, but Chaos is dead.

Regards, Richard

Richard,

#1. Chaos being dead, as you put it, doesn't negate the fact that he is Rhea's dad, a bitch that you still breed.

#2. You absolutely said that to me about your dogs not being able to be in the house while you had company. I specifically remember it because I was livid. I had teenagers at the time who had their friends over all the time. I did not want a dog that I couldn't trust with visitors, especially someone's child!

#3. Unless you sent the same exact email twice in the same day with the extra part added on (offering me a free pup) in one of them, I would have to say no, there is absolutely no chance that I didn't get another email since I still have the one you really sent me and as you can see it matches up pretty good to yours that you "rewrote".

Richard, really, I harbor no ill will towards you or Michelle. I know that you didn't give me such a poor specimen of health and temperament on purpose. I don't think you were trying to scam me at all. I just don't think that you are in it to improve the breed, that's all. I think that you need to reevaluate your breeding stock. I have nothing else to say to you on here or in private. If you truly want to make it up to me and you really do stand behind your dogs, then send me a refund. But, I don't want another dog from you. I put a lot of work into Bella. I loved that dog so much despite her flaws. Like I said, I am still struggling to pay the hospital bill. Thank God my son paid for Axel because I really could not afford it. I had to start all over again with Axel, training etc. If you had offered me a pup as you say you did, I would have accepted because back then I didn't know that she had bad nerves etc. and that that was really bad. I have learned an awful lot unfortunately since then about what a true BB character and temperament should be.

obsessive Water drinking

Our 12 week old Boerboel wants to drink water - she has had a urinary infection that we have been treating.. but this is crazy... she searches for mud puddles, rain, condensation... drinks until she is miserable and burping then lays around and pees... potty training is near impossible as she is more interested in water than life... ANY IDEAS? See More
