Appraisals in 2012

In order for organizations like SABT, EBBASA, and others to do appraisals in your area they need to know the demand for it.  If you do not know what an appraisal is please check out the link here or below.   Do keep in mind the different groups like SABT, and EBBASA have different standards, and events.  Something to note the EBBASA does puppy appraisals here in the US, so if you have a pup it can be a great learning experience.  Both also offer breeder, and appraisal courses you can take part in that, and learn a lot.  Any questions you migh have let us know here, and we will be more than happy to try and answer them.   Here at Top Boerboel we would like to help out in any way to make more events available to you.  Please let us know if you are interested in taking your boerboel to an appraisal this year, and the area you would like it to be in.  The SABT does have a place on their site to submit a form for request, you can do so here.  Also please let us know by replying to this post as well so it will help let other know whos interested, and may get more people involved.  As far a a form to submit to the EBBASA, and others I'm not sure if there is one.  I will have to look into that, and if I find anyting will post.  Let us know below if you have any interest at all, thanks!

I'm on the prairies in Manitoba Canada and and was wondering if you knew of anyone in this area who also has Boerboels and is looking for an appraisal date/venue for their dogs.  Thanks,  Debora

Hello Debora, thanks for your post.  I have not yet heard anything in that area yet.  I will keep an eye out for anything, and maybe someone here knows something.  If so, please post, and if I find out anythiing I will do the same.

I'm with the understanding that this is a 'mini' appraisal tour.  This is the first time in North America that they are having a Boerboel dog show!  Good for the SABT, Bad for me as I'm way too far away to get there.  Maybe a mini appraisal tour for Europe is next?  lol

Nope debora not the first show.  A couple of years ago another show was planned, same aea, sponsors had, awads ordered, etc.  No one showed enough interest and the show had to be canceled.

That is too bad there wasn't enough interest, as there seems to be lots of Boerboels in that area.  I'm hoping that they have enough puppies and adults to have this show this year.  We are way to far away to attend, but my heart will be there.  I will look forward to someones pictures - anyone who is there please take photos....???   of both the appraisal and the show.  Thanks everyone., and thank you Kate, as I didn't know about the cancelled show.  I know the appraisal was cancelled last fall in that area...  why?  not enough dogs again?  hmmm   makes me wonder when I see all the postings for kennels and people who have Boerboels in Ontario.
