Hello, I am new and need advice. I have a Alfa female who can be very difficult for me to deal with for ex. I tell her to go to her crate I give her a tug on her collar and she growls and trys to bite me. She has bit me several time. She is always trying to be the top dog she never done this to my husband.  She's been to training! I have done alot of work w/ her. She is also aggressive with her bones and food. I have had 3 rotty's but never have experience W/ this breed. Please give me a few tips. I need help! Thanks

Hi Angel, need a bit more information, 1 as to what has been your correction practice for unwanted behavior? 2 What have you none when she had nipped at you? 3 does anyone interfere when she displays this behavior. I would start over from basics, make her sit and wait for food. go back to perfect heel work on lead so she will realize you too are pack leader. Hello Angel, and welcome to Top Boerboel!  Thank you for taking the time to share with us, and looking for the help you need.  There are many that don't, and act to quickly in making the wrong decisions for their dog, or family.  I am sorry to hear you are having this problem with your boerboel.  Though 90% of the time the problem is coming from the owners, and not the dog.  You however are not in this alone, it unfortunately happens to a lot of people owning a dominant breed such as the boerboel.  It sounds like your female has placed you below her in rank, and this needs to be corrected.  She needs to view you, and every person in the home above her.  How old is she, and how long has this been going on?  Are you the only one she acts this way with?  How often is she in her crate?  Is food left down for her to eat whenever or only a certain times to eat?  There are some things you can start doing right away to help.  Instead of me typing out everything, there are already some well written articles to read.  I will list them below, and if you have any questions please let us know.  I wish you all the best.
